Getting Furniture Village cosy on a new platform

The Objectives

The furniture retail industry has been going through a period of significant change in recent years. Wishing to rise to the challenge of a new market and new customer, Furniture Village approached Greenlight to help overhaul their website. The website is their biggest store and the shop window to the brand, however the existing CMS platform was no longer able to meet their future growth plans.

The Strategy

  • We conducted workshops with Furniture Village, in order to re-invent the engagement and purchase process of selling “big ticket” items digitally.
  • 80-85% of customers start their research online and part of their journey will inevitably entail going in-store to see the product, therefore the whole multichannel piece was a big driver.
  • We delivered a new solution on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform in 16 weeks that included all the commerce features customers now expect, as well as business tooling to allow for trading control and back-end integrations.
  • The build also included integration with over 15 systems and delivered a much faster responsive, contemporary design across mobile, desktop and tablet.
  • The agency now manages a number of Furniture Village’s digital channels including paid search, shopping and content & engagement.
