The Objectives

As a successful boutique spirit retailer with a 25-year pedigree, Master of Malt was looking for an agency that went beyond the norm. Our key objectives were to:

  • Go further than the ‘one size fits all’ solution approach to customer experience
  • Create an easy-to-navigate, technically advanced eCommerce platform that would ultimately deliver more business

The Strategy

  • We redesigned the logo and branding guidelines to support the brand overhaul
  • We embarked upon a complete site redesign and rebuild, which involved the creation of all relevant content, and the design and build of landing pages for all paid search activity
  • We needed to host and support the new site, as well as integrate key aspects into the strategy such as social media integration, tracking and analytics, SEO, and affiliate management
  • We additionally incorporated a fully integrated social media presence across social networks as well as implemented a video strategy

The Results

  • 540% online revenue increase in one year
  • 1000% increase in traffic in just six months
  • Ranking page 1, position 2 for every targeted word
  • For keyword “whisky”, Master of Malt ranked just behind Wikipedia
  • Achieved ranking page 1 position 2 for keyword “malt whisky”, previously it had not ranked at all
  • Achieved ranking page 1, position 1, for keyword “50 year old whisky”; previously it had not ranked at all
